Walter Hogg died from wounds on 9th March, 1915 but as yet there is no information as to where and on what date he was wounded. The 2nd Cameron Highlanders battalion had been in India when the war began in August, 1914 but had soon returned home where they became part of 81 Brigade, 27th Division that went to France in December, 1914. During the opening months of 1915 they were holding the line around Ypres in Belgium. |
